A New Year Almost Here

The new year is almost here and I am sitting here thinking of all that has happened over the last year and wondering what the new year will bring. At this time last year all I could think of was getting through 2 weddings and had no idea what else was in store for me.
Some of the highlights:
February -- Kevin and Christian were married after 7 years of dating.

My dad and all his grandkids were together for the first time ever.

April -- my eyes were opened and I started contemplating weight loss surgery.
May -- I met Dr Walton and started my pre-op diet.

June -- Stephen and Loren were married.

July -- my surgery is finally here! (pictures 10 days pre-op)

August -- We started the search for Giorgi's birth family. At the end of September we received the news that Vali and Mariana had located Giorgi's birth family and we started communicating with them.


September -- even with so much going on this year, we managed to find some time to spend a fun labor day weekend in Salina, Kansas with good friends.


There is so much more -- so much I am thankful for -- so many new friends, some more special than others -- a new and healthier lifestyle -- Giorgi is doing so much better in school (thank you Oklahoma Disability law Center) and her behavior is improving -- everyone is healthy and happy.

There are always changes that can be made though so I need to finalize my resolutions!
