Eleven Months

Yesterday was my eleven month surgery anniversary. I had new pictures taken today. The scale has moved a bit so even if I don't get to the goal I expected, I still may get closer.
I got my lab results back today. Prior to surgery I was pre-diabetic, my liver enzymes were elevated, my calcium was low, and I was hypothyroid. As of today my glucose, calcium, and TSH are normal. My liver enzymes are only slightly elevated and should normalize with a little more weight loss. My LDL cholesterol is only slightly above the normal limits, but my HDL cholesterol and triglycerides are awesome. But amazingly, my cholesterol was not an issue prior to surgery either. About the only problem I had before surgery was a very mild case of reflux which I have not experienced since the day of surgery.
I had two more work trips confirmed today. I will be in Raleigh, North Carolina from July 16th to the 18th and in Chicago, Illinois July 28th and 29th. The Chicago trip should be the most interesting as most of the people who will be at that meeting I have not seen since well before surgery -- or even thinking about surgery. It should be quite interesting. I still have trouble with the attention but it is funny to see people's reactions. The reaction is probably enhanced by the fact that I changed my hair color at the same time.
