Three Weeks

Tomorrow it will have been 3 weeks since Dad left us. It has been a mix of emotions, but no where near like what I experienced after my Mom died.

Today would have been Dad's 85th birthday. I thought I would be sadder than I am, but it is hard to be sad when I know he is in heaven celebrating it with Mom again. I did not think of it until it was too late or I would have gone to Falcone's and bought some cannoli in his honor. Instead I bought some chocolate eclairs -- the next closest thing to Italian pastry in Oklahoma! And yes, I did eat one!

One thing that has helped us all to get through the last few weeks -- my Grandson, Alexander Ray, is 1 week old today! He was born on March 4th at 9:16 AM. He weighed 4 lb 14 oz and was 19 inches long. I know Mom and Dad were smiling big as they watched him enter the world weighing exactly what I did at birth.
