Never have I seen my car thermometer read SEVEN degrees! It even hit five for a minute but stayed at seven for quite a while this morning. There is also absolutely no humidity.
I went for my eye recheck this morning. I was dreading it as it is usually colder in that office than it is outside as they have to keep it cold in there -- something to do with the laser. I was surprised to find it warm in there today. I guess even they have their limits.
My eye recheck went pretty good. I have absolutely NO prescription in my right eye (distance eye) and my distance vision is 20/15! In my left eye (reading eye) my vision is 20/20. While that sounds great, the puzzling part is that my intermediate vision is blurry. I am having the hardest problems reading the computer screens. Dr Roddy is very puzzled over this as well. He said I have the optimal mono-vision correction so he is not sure what is causing my intermediate vision problems as it only started with my right eye enhancement. Changing the left eye correction any further would cause my distance vision to change to where I would not even be able to see the dashboard in the car. My eye pressure was 11, with 10-22 being normal, so it is not being caused by high pressures. He decreased my prednisone drops to 3 times a day to keep the pressure low and I am still using glaucoma drops as well while on the prednisone to help keep it down as well. So, he told me to play with placement of the computer screen to keep an optimal distance to see if that helps. I am trying, but find there is a very small "sweet" spot. I am hoping that with more healing it will correct itself because this way is quite annoying. The good news though -- I have absolutely NO dry eye anymore! That is absolutely amazing due to the fact of my age, my history of PRK, and the fact that I originally had such bad dry eye that I almost did not qualify for laser surgery! The Fresh Kote eye drops are definitely worth the cost!
