Home

I am home after a good meeting -- met new people, met people I have only talked to by phone for years, and re-connected with one of my nurses who moved out of State and now works for Accredo in Phoenix. Cindy almost didn't recognize me and told me I looked 10 years younger. One woman asked me about my medical alert bracelet and when I told her why I wore it the woman with her exclaimed, "I knew it!" She said she had been watching me eat lunch and knew I was a bariatric surgery patient. She had bypass surgery 6 years ago. Unfortunately, she has gained back some of her weight. I am determined not to be one of those people! She gave me a protein bar to try and it was very good so I plan on going to GNC to buy some to keep on hand. Then today on the way through airport security the woman checking my ID commented on how much weight I have lost. I guess I am going to have to get a new license made. Most weight loss surgery patients do, but I am going to try to wait a little longer since I just got this one in May. The next trip will most likely be to Warrendale, Pennsylvania and then to Memphis, Tennessee -- and hopefully before the weather gets too bad. It was bad enough coming home to thunderstorms and golf ball size hail!
