Chef Dave

There was a Support Group meeting at Integris Baptist Hospital tonight. I don't usually attend this one but since I had to be at the hospital anyway to see a patient and this meeting was supposed to be a good one, I decided to check it out. I am glad I did. The meeting featured Chef Dave Fouts from Edmond, Oklahoma. Dave used to be the Executive Chef at WeightWise. He had bypass surgery 7 years ago and now travels around the country providing education on cooking and eating after bariatric surgery. He has also written several cookbooks. He offers good tips for everyone. For example, he now has instructions on his website on how to cook the perfect turkey. He will soon be the Executive Chef at a new restaurant that will be opening in the Deep Deuce district of Oklahoma City. It will feature mostly organic foods and foods grown and raised in Oklahoma.
